South of Chaweng is Lamai Beach. The sand on it is bigger and not so white, and the shore is rocky in places. At the same time, on the southern part of the beach it is much more comfortable to swim: there is a wide sandy strip and a wide choice of places where you can have a snack. In the north, it's shallow, and the farther away - the more rocky and "wild."

Hut Lamai waves have long attracted surfers - the sea here is deeper than on other beaches in Samui.

The resort can easily find an Internet cafe . The cost of "going online" per hour ~ 60 THB.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions Lamai

Traditional Thailand with lush vegetation and herds grazing in the hills, you can see in the southern part of the resort, just behind the Muslim fishing village of Hua Thanon. Between Lamai and this village there are two picturesque cliffs - Hin Ta (Hin Ta, the rock "Grandma") and Hin Yai ("Grandfather" rock).

The temple of Wat Lamai Temple is interesting, where religious festivals, concerts and fairs are held. The Art Hall inside the temple contains an interesting collection of copper and pottery, as well as an iron ceremonial drum, excavated in Lamai. Another temple, Wat Khunaram, stores the body of one of Samui's most famous mummified monks, Loung Pordaenga.

The main street of the resort is full of strip bars, cafes and restaurants, most of which are concentrated at the southern end of the city. In Lamai there are also several spa resorts where visitors can relax in saunas, try Thai massage or mud masks.
